I was trying to upgrade my Laptop from Windows 10 Home SL to Windows 10 Pro by entering Windows 10 Pro Product key though the windows, once I have provided the product key a "Windows is activated" pop up comes and shows "We've activated this copy of windows". I would like to switch the operating system language to English, so I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. When I go to System Settings, it shows that English United States has been installed, however the option to make that the default language is ghosted - the same as what it appeared when I was still running Windows Home SL.
I did use the above product key when i "accidentally" upgraded to windows 10 Pro using the product key I've got from softwarebeam. It did work before, now I have received a notice that I should activate my windows 10 Pro after the installation of windows 10 feature update today.
I could not activate windows saying that I don't have the valid digital license or product key. I have the original and legitimate product key from Windows 8. I can't even go back to Windows 10 Home Single Language, because I do not have the installation media I bought this laptop Acer EP which have the pre-installed Windows 8. What should I do now? Please help..
Thank you. The key Andre provided is a generic key which does not activate Windows 10 Pro but just lets you install it.
You must enter a valid product key later. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member.
